The Dorval Atelier 01 looks like it was dipped in a pool of metallic liquid, making it an utterly refined, almost magical version of the impressively technical original model. Entirely made of brass, the Dorval Atelier stuns by stripping down and glorifying the process of making such a piece. Brass is a living material that morphs with time, and ages elegantly. This model aims to be an ode to our most-used material, juxtaposed here on one of our most contemporary models.

SCMP DESIGN OFFICE is a French design firm led by Sébastien Cluzel & Morgane Pluchon. The two alums of the ESADSE (Saint-Etienne) and ECAL (Lausanne) launched their office in 2015 at Salone Satellite in Milan. The studio is hinged on two essential values: that design should be for everyone, and that it must remain at the service of human. Through their interrogation of materials, shape, colour, and pattern, Sébastien and Morgane create designs that cue memories, invoke moments in history, and redefine the expectations of everyday objects.
