Ambrosia - adaptable elegance by Marset, launching late 2021.
Starting out as a unique and decorative piece for a multi-brand luxury boutique in Madrid, Ciszak Dalmas Studio and Joan Gaspar jumped at the opportunity to iterate on the traditional Linestra lamp, proving that a technical, resolute design can also be poetic. Ambrosia’s linear and unique design, a nearly flat segment of light, was made modular and asymmetric to create a soft and surprising lighting system.
Initially a line of light, Ambrosia extends into a modular system that can be extended to adapt to any space. Its design stems from a tubular structure with gentle lines that attaches to the ceiling, allowing the light to descend and gently illuminate any type of project. It is this diffuse light that fills the space, adding beauty.
This lighting system is available in four pre-set lengths, from 120 to 315 cm. Extensions measuring 40 and 60 cm let you define the height from which to hang them. That way, you can adjust their distance from the ceiling to create visually uninterrupted compositions.
The LED light tube is available in three warm colour temperatures, 2200K, 2700K and 3000K, and offers adjustable intensity. It can also be installed on a canopy that includes the driver, or hidden and recessed.
“Ambrosia is different: everything plays around a simple, minimal line of light.”
— Ciszak Dalmas
Meet the designers - Ciszak Dalmas
Alberto Gobbino Ciszak and Andrea Caruso Dalmas are “designers without labels”.
These two childhood friends from Turin (Italy) studied industrial design together and opened their office, Ciszak Dalmas, in Madrid in 2009. They began their career in Spain with La Clínica Design, a furniture reuse project that made them famous (and is still ongoing), orienting their path from the beginning towards simple and sustainable design.
Today, Ciszak Dalmas is looking to go a step further and design buildings, in collaboration with architect Matteo Ferrari. In 2017, Alberto and Andrea designed the interior of the Ambrosia multi-brand boutique, for which they created an eponymous suspension lamp, which speaks from geometry and adaptability.
Ambrosía is a segment of light capable of extending and adopting different sizes, thus offering numerous possibilities. Marset has edited it and it is already part of its new collection.
